The easiest way is with an air impact wrench. If you are limited to hand tools then I would recommend using heat on the nut as thread locking material was often used to prevent this nut from loosening. The loosening was a sometimes occurence and proved to often be disastrous so loctite was used.
shermanmartinez@hotmail.comI can't seem to get the X!@&*##! nut off. Does this sucker have a reverse thread??? I'm using lots of PB Blaster, a 1/2" breaker bar and 3' of pipe!
I've bolted the tranny to a big hunk of 2x6 to help hold it, still no luck. Outside of an impact wrench (will the socket even fit), any ideas????
