You might have a bad connection, or some other problem, but I'm betting that your alternator is on the way out.

This has happened to a lot of us (check archives) and the L light glowing (even intermittently) has ALWAYS been the sign the alternator's failing. Get this checked out ASAP or you're likely going to wind up stranded.

Re: your recent rebuild... there are a lot of bad rebuilds out there. I got a bad rebuilt alternator in as many months several years ago (failed, replaced, immediately failed, replaced again). It seems the tii alternators are esp. tricky because they have to be custom-done.
