Funny I just finished with my car and admiring the shift boot as I took the console all apart as a afternoon project.......crappy weather here off and on rain so got into it and cleaned 29 yrs from behind. Took the shifter boot off scrubed it in mild cleaner and put it all back together. In doing so found part # at base of boot it's BMW 1206 289. This is a nice boot for the tii and appears now as new. Hope its still avail?? On the topic of center console the Behr a/c plastic faceplate is avail in limited Im told and wish I would of picked one up at 2002AD picking up some other parts a few days back...they had one new for under $50 as mine is cracked at top. Only diff. is the new one had white lettering while mine has always been completely black with black BEHR logo, any of these avail?
