I tried to replace my Ignition Switch with housing by taking off the steering wheel, removing blinker/wiper switches, removing steering column plate but can't get the housing off. I can't seem to drill through the screws to remove it and can't get the steering column off to try to remove housing.
Thanks for all of your great advice but I now need to turn it over to a mechanic. How long would you expect it would take to take over where I left off??? An hour or so??

Thanks!!

Where are you located?
Also, you will need to find someone who knows what they are doing. From this point it will probably take a couple of hours. If you can manage to get the steering housing off, you can take the assy. to an auto machine shop to have the bolts in the housing drilled out.
