I tried to replace my Ignition Switch with housing by taking off the steering wheel, removing blinker/wiper switches, removing steering column plate but can't get the housing off. I can't seem to drill through the screws to remove it and can't get the steering column off to try to remove housing.
Thanks for all of your great advice but I now need to turn it over to a mechanic. How long would you expect it would take to take over where I left off??? An hour or so?? Thanks!!
Are you just replacing the ignition switch???If so theres a small standard screw that holds the switch to the housing. To remove the locking column get a really good center punch and turn the screws if desperate use a dremel and make your own screw slots.A mechanic will charge $75?? Good Luck............
