Hi,

I've turbo-charged Mini Coopers (200bhp, then the cilinderhead came through the bonnet) before I bought my 2002, which will be converted as well. Although the suck-through system is easier then blow-through, it cannot support an intercooler and therefore will be unefficient. The engine will receive a lot of hot air at high boost, causing a very hot engine and not so much power. Intercooling provides cooler air, less boost is needed and you'll have a cooler running, more powerfull engine. I will try and get my turbo-theory website on-line, will post the URL when it is.
