full rocker replacement section. They do go right back to near the rear wheel arch and the 1/4 panel overlaps part of the rocker. I'm just salvaging the rockers out of my wrecked 73 Tii. They're a bitch to get out, but I would suggest replacing the full rocker because it forms part of the structural integrity of the car. Also, to make sure you eradicate hidden rust, I'd definitely go for the full rocker. I was surprised to find rust under the rockers (which are great on the outside) where there is other metal that overlaps them (at the front of the rocker and at the 1/4 panel area. I wasn't planning on re & re'ing the rockers on the shell I am using to replace my Tii body, but now that I've seen what's under the old Tii ones, I wouldn't ignore potential rust lurknig under there.

You wouldn't want things to rust out prematurely. Also another caution in doing things right, is that where you heat (ie., weld) around existing metal that you can't see or get at (eg., rockers) you will burn off any existing original factory undercoating and actually cause rust to form prematurely. You've really got to think how all the rust protection, welding, structutal integrity and painting is going to work together in the long term.

Didn't mean to ramble on but I'm really studying my resto. project very carefully so it will last. I'm even going so far as to open up some seams/joints like at the bottom of the front clip to remove all traces of rust and to treat with zinc primer and then reweld back together.
