I don't think a 750 mile trip up north (and 750 miles back) would be good for breaking in the engine. (I'd have to perform an oil change just south of Portland, with maybe one prior to that just north of Santa Rosa, depending on who you talk to.) The archives indicate steady highway driving is not good.
Fortunately, I've scheduled the work week after the 7th off, just so I can break the engine in properly. What about JP and the other folks at BayArea02? Where's Ron and j71sahara?
