How about trying various known sized bolts to determine which thread you have?
In your album you have photos of the rear of the trans all oily and a comment about it. Change the shift selector seal. Its pretty easy and $4. Even two can fit in its spot. Easy fix as compared to replacing the main output shaft seal.

Gettting ready for the trip up to springfest and need to know what my next step is to fit this LSD to my 69 02. I measured the output flange hole IDs but the results were inconclusive due to the threads-in-hole-uncertainty problem. They look like they are the 8mm versions, but who can tell these days. Can anyone help me figger this out by the numbers, as it were? if the pics dont come thru, then my photopoint galleries are linked below. these pics are under the "tranny swap pics" section.
