when you remove all the egr vacume lines [more] (archive)

do you plug all the holes ex.the one going into the intake mainfold?? i removed the little cones.. the charcol canister.. the pot[something] looks like govener.. when i did all this the car idled about 300 rpm higher..if you do plug them what have you guys used.. car is coming along just great..engine is almost clean..thanks
