Did you discuss how much this was going to cost before authorizing the work?

-I believe that some law states auto repairs must be quoted in writing, final price must stay within a range/percentage of quote.

-Did you discuss the method/appearance/materials issues prior to handing over the keys to your '02.

Did you get estimates from others?
-maybe go to other shops and ask what this work would cost there.

Did they just put on the header?
-did they replace muffler/resonator also?
-did they bend new piping?

How much was strictly bmw going to charge?

Your dad may be recalling the muffler he had put on his '50 ford down a Scooters Service Station in the summer of '66 for $16.50 and a cold pepsi.

Are you happy with the upgrade?
Is there a noticable performance gain?
Tell us about it a bit?
What about exhaust note & volume?
