the look of it doesnt really matter as long as the wires are not going to get caught on anyhting or cause an obstruction. the main thing is that the battery should be ground to the block of the engine as well as to the body of the car. make sure that the body of the car is metal, not paint. you can sand the paint down and then hit it with some primer or whatever, but there should have been a spot for it already. it should be right by the brake fluid container...
