I was shipped a 77-79 320i alternator from Bav Auto after ordering a 02 alt for my 76. However, without too much fuss my mechanic installed it and she runs fine. Must remember though that if it goes out to re-order a 320 alt and not the 2002. Re-wiring he says is a bitch.
