I went to the BMW car show in Huntington Beach, CA today. Got half way there and realized I'd forgotten my camera. Lots of M3's etc. Too many for my taste. About 12 or so 2002's including 2 Baur Targa's. There was 2 or 3 323 E21's. One was all blacked out with no chrome/aluminum anywhere. Looked like an 88 M5 sort of. There was a couple early CS coupes and one was easily the 'best of show' in my book. 5 or so 6-series which further helped promote what I want. They were judging for the clean car award and I was watching them inspect a car with white gloves and clip boards, then realized the car was less than 6 months old! What total BS. Had about 3,000 miles use so how hard would it be to prepare?! About 8 E12 5-series which made me wish I still had mine but nothing was worse than seeing the 2800CS coupes and wishing I'd kept mine. Arg!
