Call Jim Blanton
816-221-8584
He doesn't do too many of the 5 speeds, but does have some modifications he does to make em a little bit stronger and smoother. He's not inexpensive, but he knows his stuff and is a one man operation, with no frills. Does a lot of racers diffs and trannys, among other things.
Advice needed on my transmission. The tranny was starting to get hard to put into 2nd (synchros, I think). Now that the tranny is out, I want to get it rebuilt. Can I just take it to any reputable transmission shops for a rebuild? Is this BMW rocket science, i.e., does this job require special BMW expertise, tools, etc.? Or will any good transmssion shop do? I am in the Houston, TX area.
Thanks!
