I am a 2002 dummy, but love the car and this board. I have been told that my sunroof motor is the same as from a 535i and it has a switch on the roof in front of the sunroof (no handle, or crank). I plan on having mine serviced this summer--it opens, but slowly and all of the trim and cables around it need help. Good luck
