You mean on the front bumper, where the bolts mount the end-tips of the bumper to the fenders? Heheh, I hacksawed mine. I'll just use real hex-bolts for a replacement. The oem bolt has that rivet head on it... smooth, no way to hold it tight to spin off the nut. So I hack sawed. This was on my '73 02... Dan Curtis

Dear Wizards,
I am trying to remove a rusty bumper bolt which holds the bumper guard to the bumper itself. The head spins and the overnight liquid wrench treatment and the heat treatment have not helped. Removing the rubber guard trim has also not helped since the head is round. I am not trying to preserve the bolt, so I would gladly wield the hacksaw if only I could get at the damn thing ! Any tricks for this one ??
