Ahhh large parts with heavy (20+ yrs) buildup. Get about 5 gallons of simple green, putty knife, & wire brush...spend next 1-2 wks. Really this would work and would be good on the environment but the only way unless you can haul the stuff elsewhere is to rent a steam cleamer and go to town. The gas units with kerosine burner are best. Your local rental place will have these....about $60/day her. I decided to clean up the '72 and '76 cars. Hit the drivetrain and rear end...then all undercarriage and inner fenders, hey I always thought that was undercoating no just years of grime. The factory color of the car reappeared! No chemicals needed in this operation. However you will have alot of greasey runoff I happen to have iceplant it all ran into and this stuff is indestructable. You guys dont believe me well send the EPA out it has no harm to these hearty plants you would never know I spend a entire Sat afternoon extensivley steaming both cars. Of cource I was working in back of the house and have a large concrete slab....wouldnt want to -stuff in the lawn. Pressure washers suck you need HOT sprayer to melt the stuff off. So Gill go plant some iceplant and in a few yrs you will be ready to hit it. The tii should have no problem starting up after steaming, carbed cars can be a problem without proper care.
