solvent parts cleaners come in many types. There are the table stands, tubs etc...you want one of the roll around ones that have a sink, and drain. The sediment is filtered before it re-enters circulation...is thrown away as waste product. They work well on most parts, but when dealing with parts that have been grimmed up for 30 years, a steam cleaning is the easiest and fastest way to do it. All you need is a pressure washer with a heater on it, a bottle of industrial strength degreaser, and about 5 minutes. I've never seen anything work as well as the steam cleaning. You could always resort back to the tooth brush and wd-40 method...but I doubt it.
