the only trouble might be the insurance agency. on my 74 the steering column number doesnt match the one under the hood and somewhere along the line the numbers were mixed up. So when i went to transfer the ownership they said that it aint the right number. i just hope everything will be cool when i go to insure it.
Looking at a 1976 2002 that has the "Certification Label"
on the driver's door edge that shows the VIN.
The label that is affixed to the upper steering column shows
a number that doesn't match the VIN on the door edge. I'm assuming that these two numbers are supposed to match.
All the labels under the hood are either gone or have been painted over. Car runs well and is clean. Current owner and
previous owner can't shed any light on this. Advice please.
