Will the 520i Starter motor fit an 02 and more importanly will it give me a better chance of starting my tii first time and not keep on embarrising me in public by flooding!!


If it's an E28 520i (I didn't even know they made one) it's a euro 5-series with a 2-liter M10 just like an '02 motor, so the starter should fit, but is probably no better than an '02 starter. The starter you want is a '79-'81 528i starter. It is for a six cylinder car, but bolts right into the 2002 and spins the engine much faster than the stock starter.
