Wanted: Engine swap advice.. (archive)

Hello all,

the restoration of my 76 is coming along... but I must make a decision.

I have a 320i motor and 5 speed trans I planned on putting in my 02.. but now, due to the fuel injection mods I am having second thoughts (chickening out)... the head has been worked and rebuilt, the 320i motor is tight and has a schrick cam and a competition oil pan..

Would there be any benefits to throwing a carb on the 320i motor (or maybe dual sidedrafts) over my old motor in terms of HP?.. Or should I just continue my original plan to convert to fuel injection... ? Just don't know what all will be involved....
