i figured out my signal problems; it was a couple bad connections. anyways, when i parked my 02 last year, brake lights worked fine. now... nothing at all. where do i start looking? so far i've checked

- tested power to the back; nothing gets there when brakes are depressed
- changed all bulbs with known good ones anyways
- when stepping on brake pedal, the switch in the engine bay 'mechanically' works
- replaced all fuses

i really don't know where to start here, any help appreciated, as i can't drive it until this is fixed. car is '72, i have clymers, haynes and chilton manuals.

thx
canada matt
