My 74tii was suffering from a weak pump. Hell the pump and the expansion tank are both rusted hunks-o-junk after 27 years... When you put your foot into it the fuel pressure drops from 26lbs to ZERO. Started doing the fuel pump - dialing for dollars routine and here's what I found:

NEW ROUTE: Maximillian - new expansion tank is $68 - and takes about 10 days on the slow boat from Munich to get here. They have some rebuilt pumps for around $120, new ones from Bosch are like $380!!!

USED ROUTE: By checking with all the fine business folks here who deal in that sort of thing on the used side... I was able to find a good used pump and expansion tank for around $100
