I'm from Sarasota...now in PA! I don't know of anyone in Sarasota, but I believe there is a Bimmer tuner in Palmetto area. Check the Yellow Pages, or post the question to one of the BMW Message Boards. Some one in FL will surely know who I am thinking of.

As for Turbo Kugelfischers....the Kugelfischer Unit is the same (I believe) as the tii units. There are several qualified people in the US that know how to work on them (including the unique Turbo component you are speaking of)...DON'T let your everyday mechanic touch ut!!!
