There's really no fool proof way to keep moisture out of the inside of the door. You may want to add one (or more) hole(s) at the low spot(s). Be sure to coat the bare material with rust preventative paint.

If you don't have a qood quality rust preventive wax (or grease) available, get a rust preventive high temperature grease and cut it in mineral spirits and brush it in the bottom of the door. Typically rust preventive greases are not water soluable. You want a "high temperature grease" as you don't want the stuff to thin out when it gets hot. All greases are dilutable in mineral spirits, thin it to a thin or paint like consistancy. By thinning it it will penitrate into any rust that is present and seep into the seams. The mineral spirits will evaporate and the resulting "grease film" will arrest corrosion from proceeding.
