I read in one of Pete McHenry's things in the Roundel that the fuel pressure in the return line can go over 30PSI. I think I am going to use hard metal or braided pressure lines in both directions when I eventually do go to the EFI and turbo.

Your car should already have a metal return line along the left frame rail. You can use this as the pressure line from the tank, and use the original plastic feed line as the low pressure return. This is the way most people do it when converting to fuel injection or swapping in a modern injected engine.
