It is right near where the pump is--in front of th e tank. But the leak is severe. We drove around the block and the gauge showed us losing 1/2 a tank. So I called AAA. It would be great news (financially) if it isn't the pump though. I guess I will wait to hear from the mechanic tomorrow, but I would love to know some ballpark prices on a new pump and on the flex hose or creased steel line replacement, so I can begin to prepare my wife for the costs. Thanks for your help.

Sounds like your pump is pumping but leaking from a ruptured hose. I would verify that before buying a new pump. AutoZone (Atlanta Area)had a replacement pump a few months back for $60-65. I have used a 530 pump from the junkyard with success in the past.
