I ended up making a vertical cut on each side, just to the inside of the "light buckets." When peeled back, there was enough space to get at the spot welds. Unfortunately the spot welds were fairly large, so I had to drill multiple times and use a chisel to pull away the nose panel. Once I figured out the technique it didn't take too long. Most importantly it is done! What a great feeling it was to finally pull the panel clear! Assuming you have done this before, have you ever had any problems with ensuring the body is straight after putting the new panel on? I started to second guess myself and was wondering if I shouldn't have a body shop put on or just make sure everything is straight. After some bad experiences with a few body shops I am hesitant to do that, but will if it means the car will be tracking straight. Hmmm....

You need to cut the nose panel to access the spotwelds...
