all MY factory manual says is to bang out the tunnel and keep the transmission level while you mark the holes for bolting up a new bracket. LOL

New crossbeam brackets are available at Double 02 and I imagine at the other '02 parts houses too. It's too much work to cut out the old brackets to relocate them.

For a good source of information on how to set up the location of the crossbeam and shortened driveshaft, borrow a copy of the factory service manual and look in the transmission section. They have a section devoted to installing a close ratio 5-speed transmission. The procedure and setup for the driveshaft is the same for the 5-speed overdrive transmission.
