I seen a 2000 tilux sitting in a yard today. Anything good on these four doors? Are they collector items or not really worth much? It's got a good body from what I seen. TIA

These are very neat cars, I bought a 1968 2000ti a few months ago, it was a short lived relationship as I have gone back to the 2002, the parts are going to be challenge for you, they are out there and if you have the patience and the desire to own one of these cars, then you should look into it. The tilux is probably the car you want to grab a hold of, I believe it has the 5 speed gearbox, maybe even the weber sidedraughts instead of the stock solexes. I also had a 1967 1800ti years ago, these 4 door models are vintage and only a handful of places carry parts for them, your best best is a place in La Jolla, California called " La Jolla Independant " or CNPR, it is run by Carl Nelson and he carries a wide selection of parts for these models. Your main concern would be the front brake parts, rotors are hard to get and are over $100 apiece, I think the door seals are no longer available but most other interior parts can be had. There is also a "neue range register", a listing of people with these 4 door models, some have parts for sale also, e-mail Bob Kauffman if you are interested, he's at: [email protected], if the car is in solid shape and is running well etc..., it is worth pursuing,

Tim.
