If you search under Rover 3500, rather than Buick/Olds/Pontiac 215, there are _lots_ of engines available. They used them from '68 through the early '90s. That doesn't mean they're cheap, though. Not too many Rovers in the U.S. But it's all available, seems to be about $5000 for a good, recent LandRover motor. Given that the wagons themselves run well over $50k these days, that's not too bad.

While there are quite a few MG V8 conversion sites around, finding a used engine for the same price as a used 02 engine seems somewhat difficult. I could only find rebuilt engines for about the price of a used S14. What I need is a junkyard full of crashed Rover's. Doesn't seem like it would be too complicated.
When you crazy kids machine up an adaptor plate to fit the 215 V8 to the Getrag, call me so I can order one up. This'll be right after I mate up my S14 I buy to a six speed Getrag from Schimmer-Tuning (only 13000 DM!!).
