My dilemma continues...two speedos broke in 2 I ordered a new cable assy from Bimmer Parts Co. ($24). Now I am faced with where to have the speedo fixed.

Palo Alto can fix it I'm sure, but @ $149Min. plus shipping may force me to attempt a repair myself on my spare parts car one (that also broke) harm if I foul it up.

Has anyone attempted to fix the spring that attaches to the needle?...I'm sure this (or something similar) is all that it needs.

In the meantime, I will drive quit well "speedometerless" thank you...hardly look at the thing anyway .

Happy '02ing,

'76, etc.
