The sidewall height # did matter to me when I first replaced the wheels and tires. By going with 195 x 60 x 14 = the total outside diameter was equal to stock total dia. which made the speedo reading correct. Then I replaced the rear diff with a 3.9 LS diff from a 320is. This made the speedo off about 7%. Next I went to a 5 speed which in 5th gear changed the speedo again.
So I guess what I'm saying is if you have or plan to change the rear Diff then go 50 or 55 because the speedo will be wrong anyway, if you plan to keep the drive line stock then go 60 just to keep the speedo right. As far as tire rating I would ask if you plan to do any track events? That will answer your ZR / VR question.
PS:I really like Yoko AVS intermediates, They are Quite, sticky and work for me in the rain.

Hey All:

I am planning on upgrading my suspension and tires. I have already decided to go with H&Rs and Bilstein Sports, TEP Stress up front and Susp Tech Sways. Okay, with that all said, my questions is to what size and kind of tires should I get. I am running the 14" bottles and am not planning on replacing them anytime soon. Should I go with a 55 series or stay with a 60? Does a ZR rated tire really matter or can I go with a VR?

Any advice would help. Thanks!

Joe
