If you have an earlier 2002 with a ballast resistor (a white ceramic thing near the ignition coil), there is a relay which bypasses the resistor when the key is turned to the "start" position. Sometimes this relay fails, causing a no-start condition. The solution for this is to replace your coil with a bosch blue coil, which needs no resistor. You can then eliminate the resistor and relay, and wire the coil so that it gets power with the key in either the "on" or "start" positions.
