I want a "soft" ride since this is a weekend warrior '02 and part time daily driver (sunny warm nice days 8-)), so the plan is to go with used Bilstein HDs, a used set of Dinan springs, the 19mm front swaybar, and the stock rear swaybar. Oh yeah, 195/60-14 tires on E30 cokebottle rims.
According to the factory manual, the front and rear swaybars are 15mm and 16mm in diameter respectively. I got lucky and managed to buy a used 19mm front swaybar for about $40 (including shipping).
So, the $64 question is will the back end of the car with this combination have enough stiffness to prevent excessive body roll when I make that banzai charge onto the freeway entrance? Do I need to go to a 19mm rear bar?
BTW, all of the above hardware (except for the tires/rims) was purchased used for a grand total of $220.
As usual, thanks in advance and all opinions, flames, etc. are welcome.
