About five years ago I took my 73 tii engine out and disassembeled it. I have finally done the work on it that was needed and put it together. There are two things that I can't remember and haven't found a picture that helps. First, the amr for adjusting the alternator has a hole for attaching it to the bottom of the engine. The hole is bigger than the protrusion that it connects to and the stud is about an inch long. What fills the arm hole and why is the stud so long? Second, above the alternator is a stud that sticks out the back of the injector pump belt housing. What is its purpose? I am getting exited about finally getting that car back on the road! Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks guys!!! Those two things had me baffeled. That is a beautiful engine, Mitch M. Mine looks far more like a '73 that has been cleaned. BTW, I too was amazed that I still had all the parts. We even moved to a different house during that time.
Oops, made a mistake about engine ownership. Thanks shermanMatinez for the great pictures.
