Does flat spots felt when rotating rear ujoints mean it needs to be rebuilt, or is it ok to continue to use ? It's only flat at the midpoint position of the two Ujoints and no where else on the rear Ujoint. I have a second driveshaft and it exhibits the same flat spot condition at the same position. SO that's why I am asking whether this is normal in wearing or just a fluke on my part and I have two shafts going out.,.

FYI, center bearing sagging, that's why I have driveshaft out to replace this part.

Also, who has the best prices and best reputation in providing rebuilds w/out defects ? Don't want to take out dshaft twice because it wasn't balanced right the first time out...

This is normal BMW driveshaft wear.... similar problem on 2002's, E12's, E3's any older bmw of similar vintage etc.

You can use it but it could vibrate at certain speeds and it will never feel "right".

The only solution is rebuild.
