A problem with a sawsall convertible job is rigidity. Unless you weld the doors shut the car will twist and creak and crack. Eventually it starts to sag in the middle and the doors will no longer open. No matter what you do, you will always get water inside weakening the already stressed out floor. Go ahead, chop away.
