4-door (Neu Klasse) cars had the VIN stamped in the nose (engine bay - right front near fender). I wonder if the early '02s were the same...

my dad and i once found a vin stamped on the front clip that matched the vin on the tag! if the car was for real, the VINs would match. the red ti has a replaced front clip, which is why we have that little tube, so i can't verify this on ours. maybe you could check on one of yours and confirm?
