Check the color of your sparkplugs. If they look clean (especially the insulator), you may be sucking the water slowly into the cylinders. You won't get white exhaust until the engine is sucking massive quantities of of water into the cylinders.

Also, look down by the end of the overflow tube for the radiator, does it look like there's been moisture there. If so, the engine is also pressurizing the water system and blowing it out the overflow tube.

How do I know about this? It's a long sad story....8-(
