Here's the basics though, John:
remove 4 13mm lock nuts from rubber coupling (you DO have a new one ready - right?) and then get inside the car.
From the driver's seat - remove all the under dash panels near the collumn. Loosen the collar clamp near the firewall (looks like a bicycle seat post clamp) , remove the vertical bolts holding the collumn to the dashboard and allow it to drop down an inch or two.
Grab the wheel - and pull toward you about 2-3" This will remove the collumn from the rubber disk in the motor compartment.Leave it there - so it'll be easy to reinstall.
Box is held to subframe with 3 bolts - use loctite for reinstall.
remove center link from pitman arm - pull box out and downward.
For reinstall - get one of your youngins' to push the steering collumn forward while you align the rubber disk from topside. BTW: tii airbox must be removed to do this job.
Note: inside the rubber disk - there's a little wire spring thingy - this grounds the collumn to the box / chassis. Make sure you reinstall it.
Note II: The 13mm nuts on the collumn are a bear to reah - but the rest is a snap. You will cuss at at least 2 of them!!! ;-)
Note III: If you have a pitman arm on the used box - good. If you have to pull the one off the old box for the swap - take it to a machine shop - as they can break the average shadetree mechanic's common pullers!! Use a puller to remove splined shackle from old box -10mm locking bolt must be completely removed from shackle for the thing to come off - not just loose!
