If I was going to go all-out and throw a wad of cash at a car, it'd be a 2002 rather than a 3.0 CSL. The CSL is an exclusive, beautiful work of art and, yes, I would love to own one. But, it's just too big. I like small cars that are more tossable in tight turns. I can easily understand that someone would be willing to spend this kind of time and money on an 02 if there are others willing to do the same to a CSL.

Let's see, so if I were to offer you a very nice 2002tii that cost $50K to restore and an orginal unmolested very nice 3.3csl batmobile (valued on the market @ say $50K), and neither of these cars would cost you any $$.

You'd choose the 2002tii?

So 5-10 years down the road when you sell the car (and believe, me we all will eventually sell) the 2002 would be worth $15-20K (less than half the restoration cost --if your lucky). While the csl would still be worth $50K, if not more.....

And believe the me the fun factor of the csl is just as good if not better than the 2002.
