I got a pair of 40DCOE's that need to be fixed up. they came to me bolted to the manifold. I removed all four bolts on each carb, but I can't get them separated. What should I do. I don't want to do any damage! Also, where can I buy air horns and rebuild kits for these carbs? thanks,
Bryan

Tap the manifold a little with a ball peen or similar type hammer. I wouldnt pound on the carb casing too hard but they are just stuck together from the gaskets.
Be patient and they will come apart.
Be very careful prying between them because if you gouge the soft aluminum they wont seal good later even with new gaskets.
