In Reply to: Urethane bushing install question? posted by Reckless on July 01, 2001 at 00:26:13:

I'm about to install my urethane bushings and was wondering if I should grease them up before I install them. If so does the grease go on the metal sleave inside and out and on the outside of the bushing or just on the sleave?

You should use the really sticky grease that came with your bushings (hopefully)on all surfaces.
The outside of the bushing, the sleeve inside and the bolt or radius rod that goes through it. I use wheel bearing grease on the subframe bolt and radius rod.
If you dont grease ALL these areas you will have squeaks.
I have installed these in many cars and have done it this way and have not had problems with squeaking or anything else.
good luck,
Brian C
