In Reply to: E30 basketweaves on Tii? Please help. posted by Colin on July 01, 2001 at 09:38:11:

Since these wheels are 1/2 inch wider that the standard 325i alloy's, a 1/4 inch spacer is needed. With this being used, go to NAPA (so I was told) and get an aftermarket dust cap. I've heard they are rounded off and clear just fine. Now, because the wheels are wider, and the spacer is installed, I'm pretty sure that the fender arches need to be rolled. Trying to use 55 or 50 series tires will more than likely rub.

Good Luck,

Hey folks,
I just finished my big brake conversion, which consists of the following: Tii struts, '77 320i hubs, bearings, and rotors, 528i calipers, Tii master cylinder and booster. The only problem is that now the center caps for my 325is basketweaves will not fit. The cap hits the wheel bearing dust cap and therefore will not go all the way on. Does anyone have a Tii with these wheels? If so, did you have any problem getting your center caps on? Since the Tii uses the same larger bearings as my '77 320i hubs, I imagine it must have the same dust cap. Any advice would be much appreciated, as I really like these wheels and want to keep 'em.
