I have installed Suspension Techniques bars for several people and even bought a set about 15 years ago and they NEVER came with new strap mounts. Why would they need to? The bushing is the same size.
relates to their insistance that re-using the stock rear strap-mounts is a proper way to install their bars. it simply doesnt fit. the workaround is to absolutely CRUSH the ure bushings in the stock mounts to accomodate the new rear bar. I understand that the ST bars ship with new, properly larger rear strap-mounts, and therefore is a better setup. I chose to use Ireland based on their reputation in the 02 world, but i regret that decision every time i think about the cludgey rear bar setup. ST is a dedicated-enough firm to have some proper simple strap mounts bent up and shipped to customers. This is apparently beyond the scope of Ireland's efforts so far.
I agree with Corey. Unfortunately, despite my statements and others with considerable knowledge Rob S. does not understand that Suspension Techniques bars are just as difficult to install as Ireland Engineering bars. They all use the same bushings and the bars have to fit in the same hole in those bushings! This is why urethane is used Rob! It is used to decrease the deflection of the stock rubber bushings and therefore give you better bar reaction. Unfortunately, the price you pay comes in installation because now the urethane does not give like the rubber would during installation into the bar brackets.
