For tranny it's a good idea. Othervise it will throw some oil out. I've put some small hose fitting to the breather hole (first drilled it bigger) and run hose to the engine breather tank. For diff I don't think it's needed.

Does anyone know if a 2002 needs these for the transmission and rear differential for autocross/track days??
