Need help swapping in a 320i engine. (archive)

After my engine threw a rod this past week I took a trip to some junk yards and I found 7-10 320i's with complete engines. What are the differences between the years? Is it true that the 320i head doesnt have a port for the mechanical fuel pump? How hard would it be to use the fuel injection in my car? or should I just use my 2002 two barrel manifold with the 32/36? What would I do for a fuel pump if I used the carb? If I wanted to use the 320i injection would I have to weld an 02 sensor into my header? Thanks.
