wipers stop @ 1:30 position.... (archive)

we recently replaced the wiper motor and transmission. they now work, but stop in the middle of up the stroke. the stalk has to be manipulated to get it to stop near the bottom.

the guy who installed the new hardware insists he did it correctly. the parts supplier blames the mechanic. and at the 2002se gathring in SC, it was suggested that it's a faulty relay (neither new hardware OR the mechanic).

I've seen others had a similar problem. any suggestions for the fix? I'm damn tired of flapping that stalk.
